In 2020 Interserve was hacked, employee details exposed

On May 9, 2020 Interserve suffered a security breach. Personal data of up to 100,000 past and current employees was stolen. The data includes employee names, addresses, bank details, payment information, HR records and pension information, according to The Telegraph.

On May 13, 2020 Interserve officially confirmed the cyber security attack. They are working closely with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Strategic Incident Response teams to investigate, contain and remedy the situation. The Information Commissioner (ICO) was also informed of the incident.

Interserve’s employees, former employees, clients and suppliers are requested to exercise heightened vigilance during this time.
